To enable adjustment of the height of a cushion member by a simple structure without using any tool.
In an outboard engine in which the periphery of an engine is covered with an engine cover 13, the engine cover 13 is divided into a lower cover 14 for covering the periphery of the lower part of the engine and an upper cover 15 for detachably covering the upper part of the engine, and a height adjusting device 20 is provided inside the lower cover 14. The height adjusting device 20 is constituted of a holder attaching part 21 integrally formed inside the lower cover 14, a holder inserting groove 22, a cushion holder 23 and an elastic body 24, the elastic body 24 is screwed to the cushion holder 23 so as to be axially advanced and retracted, and a rib 28 is integrally formed on the upper cover 15 just above the elastic body 24 so that the end of the rib 28 may abut with the elastic body 24 in a state where the upper cover 15 is closed.
