To solve the following problem: when an angle sensor for a crankshaft is provided on the side of the outer wall of an engine, there is a possibility that the sensor is damaged by flying stones or the like.

This engine cover structure includes: a cover member for covering the end of the engine; a rotor disposed outside of the cover member and rotating integrally with the crankshaft; a rotating body disposed coaxially with the rotor and wound with an auxiliary machine drive belt; the sensor disposed on the outer wall surface of the cover member and detecting the angle of the crankshaft through the rotor; and an oil filter attached to the outer wall surface of the cover member. A sensor setting portion fixing the sensor on the outer wall surface is formed of a projecting shape projecting outward of the cover member and a holding through-hole provided in the projecting shape. A projecting wall shape projecting outward of the cover member and formed from the lower end of the oil filter to at least the vertical boundary line of the oil filter is provided between the oil filter and the rotor.
