To provide an engine cutter being easily handled by a user without being hindered by chips of a workpiece.
The hand-holding type engine cutter includes: a circular disc-like rotation blade; and a body for driving the rotation blade by an engine. On the body, a guard surface for reflecting the chips of the workpiece scattered from the rotation blade toward the workpiece is provided. The guard surface has unsymmetrical shape making a rotation surface of the rotation blade as a border. According to the structure, the chips scattered from the rotation blade are unsymmetrically reflected regarding the rotation surface by the guard surface. The user can comfortably use the engine cutter by being positioned at a side where the reflected chips are less.
