Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine cutter that involves simplification in the device construction and a reduction in the device cost.
SOLUTION: The engine cutter comprises a disklike cutter 12, an air-cooled internal combustion engine 30 for rotating the cutter 12, and a safety cover 15 for partially covering the cutter 12. The safety cover 15 has a dust trapping portion 90 for trapping dust D caused by a cutting operation of the cutter 12 and forcing it out. A single blower fan 40 driveable by the internal combustion engine 30 is installed to generate a blast TA for entraining the dust the dust trapping portion 90 traps and forcing it out, and generate cooling air CA for the internal combustion engine 30 as well.
