Title:
ENGINE-DRIVEN GENERATION DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3969623
Kind Code:
B
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to consistently respond to load fluctuation with reserve capacity without being influenced by change in the output of an engine or a generator due to aged deterioration or the like.
SOLUTION: The output current of the generator 1 is rectified by a converter 3 comprising a thyristor bridge and an inverter 4 converts direct currents outputted from the converter 3 into alternating currents of commercial frequency and connects the currents to a load 5. A fuel quantity control portion 10 controls the number of revolutions of the engine 2 so that the conduction angle of the thyristors comprising the converter 3 is held equal to a target conduction angle. By setting the target conduction angle to a value within an intended range less than the maximum conduction angle, the generator is capable of consistently and swiftly responding to any load fluctuation with reserve capacity. If the throttle opening is too large, as a result, the target number of engine revolutions can be increased with the reduced target conduction angle so that the engine 2 is not overloaded and the number of revolutions thereof is not unnecessarily increased.
