Abstract:
To provide an exhaust emission control device of an engine which can properly detect exhaust pressure by suppressing a thermal influence of the engine or the like with respect to even a so-called longitudinal engine.SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control device of an engine is arranged in an exhaust passage 5a of the multicylinder engine 3 in which a plurality of cylinders is aligned in a vehicle fore-and-aft direction. The exhaust emission control device comprises an exhaust emission purification converter 51 including a DPF 53 arranged at an exhaust system side face 3c of the engine 3, and a pressure difference sensor 57 for detecting the fore-and-aft pressure of the DPF 53. The pressure difference sensor 57 comprises a sensor main body 571, and a pair of pressure pipes 572, 573 which are connected to an upstream-side pipe part 532 and a downstream-side pipe part 533 of the DPF 53 at their one-side end parts, respectively, and connected to the sensor main body 571 at the other end parts. The sensor main body 571 is attached to a front face upper part of the engine 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
