To provide an engine generating apparatus capable of reducing the capacity of an engine generator with a motor as a load, close to the capacity of the motor during steady operation.
The engine generating apparatus is provided with an engine, a rotational frequency controller for detecting the rotational frequency of the engine and for controlling it so as to become the commanded rotational frequency, a generator for generating power by the rotation of the engine, and a voltage controller for detecting the voltage generated by the generator and for controlling it so as to become the commanded voltage. The rotational frequency commanded to the rotational frequency controller, and the voltage commanded to the voltage controller, are set so as to gradually become larger together when the engine is started.
