Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent generation of condensate water by remaining EGR gas in a specific portion in or to which EGR gas flows.SOLUTION: A low-pressure loop EGR system of an engine 1 includes: an EGR passage 17 for recirculating part of exhaust gas discharged from a combustion chamber 16 to the combustion chamber 16 as EGR gas; and an EGR valve 18 regulating a flow of the EGR gas in the EGR passage 17. An inlet 17b of the EGR passage 17 is connected to an exhaust passage 5 downstream of a turbine 9, and an outlet 17a of the EGR passage 17 is connected to an intake passage 3 upstream of a compressor 8. An intake bypass passage 41 bypassing between a region upstream of the compressor 8 and a region downstream of the compressor 8 is provided in the intake passage 3, and an ABV 42 is provided in the intake bypass passage 41. To remove the EGR gas remaining in the ABV 42, one end of a residual gas removal passage 91 is connected to the intake passage 3 downstream of a throttle valve 21 and the other end of the passage 91 is connected to the ABV 42.
