Abstract:
PURPOSE:To upgrade a supporting function for an engine and improve its durability as well as to damp engine vibrations and thereby reduce these uncomfortable vibrations against people aboard, by detecting the degree of vertical acceleration at the axle side of a car, while regulating the internal pressure of a liquid pressure type mount. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust side solenoid valve 16 exhausting the inside air out and a feed side solenoid valve 15 feeding the inside with air from an air tank 21 both are connected to an air spring 11. And, these solenoid valves 15 and 16 are selectively controlled for their on-off operation by a control unit 27 connected to a vertical acceleration sensor 19 on a front axle, and a spring constant is thus varied. In this way, in time of car driving at an uneven ground, a supporting function for an engine is raised up, improving its durability, and in time of car driving at a level ground, engine vibrations are damped to the smallest possible extent, thus uncomfortable vibrations against people aboard can be well reduced.
