Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide an engine oil compsn. which has good low-temp. fluidity and, at the same time, high cleanability and wear and abrasion resistances.

CONSTITUTION: This compsn. comprises a base oil comprising a mineral lubricating oil, a synthetic lubricating oil, or mixture of both the oils and, incorporated thereinto, (A) 10 to 30wt.% calcium phenate having a base number of not less than 150mgKOH/g and (B) 2 to 15wt.% calcium salicylate having a base number of not less than 200mgKOH/g.
