To ensure sufficient seizing resistance performance and low frictional resistance with assembly of a piston without iron plating while providing with abrasion resistance performance to sliding of a piston ring.
In a bore sliding part of an aluminum alloy made cylinder block 1, a nickel chrome metal porous body 11 is compounded with an aluminum alloy 12, and a piston 2 formed of aluminum alloy for a normal piston is slidably fitted. Nitride (GN) layer is formed on an outer peripheral surface of a steel made (SUS) piston ring 3 which is fitted to a ring groove 21 arranged on the piston 2 as a substrate layer 4 for covering the whole thereof, and a ceramic particle dispersion nickel-phosphorus-cobalt(CPN) plating layer 5 is formed on a surface which is brought into sliding-contact with the bore sliding part, namely, with nickel-chrome metal porous body 11.
