Abstract:
PURPOSE: To facilitate the adjusting work of a tensioner by manually turning a starter for the manual starting in adjusting a tensioner for a timing belt, positioning an opening to a bolt for adjusting the fitting position, and confirming the bolt for adjusting the fitting position from the opening.
CONSTITUTION: One of openings 42b... is positioned to a bolt 35 for adjusting the fitting position by removing an engine cover and an upper belt cover, and manually turning a pulley 42 for the manual starting to align the respective marks X, Y with each other. Then, a tool is accessed from the lower side of the opening 42b or the pulley 42 for the manual starting at the side to loosen the bolt 35 for adjusting the fitting position, and the position of a tensioner 34 for a timing belt is adjusted to provide the appropriate tension to a timing belt 33. Finally, the bolt 35 for adjusting the fitting position is tightened, and the engine cover and the upper belt cover are fitted to complete the work.
