Title:
ENGINE ROOM FOR FORKLIFT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2580925
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a forklift engine room enabling the sufficient cooling of an oil tank while preventing dust from being sucked into an engine room and noise from leaking outside from the engine room.
CONSTITUTION: The lower part of an engine room 20 is shielded by a sound arresting bottom plate 113. The side face of a vehicle is provided with an outside air inlet 23 so as to provide outside air inlet passages 241, 242 communicated with the engine room 20 through the wall surface of an oil tank 26. At the engine operating time, outside air 8 is sucked in from the outside air inlet 23 and led into the engine room 20 through the outside air inlet passages 241, 242. The outside air 8 thereby takes heat away from the wall surface of the oil tank 26. Because of leading the outside air 8 in from the side face of the vehicle, dust does not easily enter the engine room 20. In addition, the leak of noise is prevented by the disposition of the sound arresting bottom plate 113.
