Abstract:
To provide an engine which can be easily manufactured and can reduce noise, and a saddle-riding type vehicle equipped with the same.SOLUTION: A power unit 6 includes an engine 6A. The engine 6A has a crankshaft 61. The engine 6A further has a crankcase 62 which stores the crankshaft 61. A dynamic damper 200 is provided in the crankcase 62. The dynamic damper 200 includes a damper mass and a support member. The support member includes an elastic body and supports the damper mass in the crankcase. During operation of the engine 6A, flexural vibration is generated in the crankshaft 61. At that time, by elastic force of the elastic body, the damper mass vibrates on one straight line orthogonal to a center axis of the crankshaft 61 and parallel to a direction of the flexural vibration generated in the crankshaft 61.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
