Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanism applying tensile force to a cam chain by using a blade tensioner, which easily mounts the cam chain on an engine having a constitution in which a side face of a cylinder body is not opened.SOLUTION: A tensioner 158 has a leaf spring 166, and a blade shoe 168 supporting the leaf spring 166 and contacting with a cam chain 154 in a chain chamber. An engine 44 includes a bolt 164 inserted into a supporting hole 250 formed in the tensioner 158 and oscillatably supporting the tensioner 158, and a supporting portion 170 supporting the tensioner 158 by contacting with the contact portion 178 of the blade shoe 168. The bolt 164 is disposed on a crank case 84. A supporting portion 170 is disposed on a head cover 130, and supports the tensioner 158 in a state that the contact portion 178 is slidable.
