To provide an engine start control device capable of controlling a plurality of engine starting devices to surely start an engine.
In regard to this engine start control device, the engine of a four-wheel buggy vehicle is provided with a plurality of starting devices, and these plurality of starting devices are respectively formed, at least, of a re-coil starter and a starter motor. An intake pipe of the engine is provided with a throttle body, and the throttle body is provided with a throttle valve, a bypass air passage for bypassing the throttle valve, and an idle speed control valve (ISCV) for controlling air flow passing through the bypass air passage. Valve opening of the ISCV is controlled by detecting whether the engine is started by the re-coil starter or the starter motor, and controlling on the basis of a result of the detection and engine condition.
