Title:
ENGINE START CONTROL SYSTEM
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2013199918
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To avoid such a malfunction that, in a process of starting using a recoil starter, the instantaneous interruption and reactivation of an ECM occurs, and thereby the operation of an engine is continued while, for example, erroneously detecting atmospheric pressure.

When an ECM 7 is activated as powered from a generator 3, a decision unit 7a determines the occurrence of instantaneous interruption and the reactivation of the ECM 7, if engine speed detected by an engine speed sensor 5 immediately after the activation of the ECM 7 is found to be not smaller than a predetermined number of rotation Y. When the occurrence of the instantaneous interruption and the reactivation is actually determined, the ECM 7 terminates the operation of the engine 1. On the other hand, if the occurrence of the instantaneous interruption and the reactivation is not determined, the ECM 7 detects, using a maximum value detection unit 7b, a maximum value of pressure in the intake pipe detected by a pressure sensor 6 within a predetermined range of a crank angle after activation, stores the maximum value in a memory for use as atmospheric pressure, and uses it for the subsequent control of fuel injection by an injector 4.
