Abstract:
To reduce a load of a secondary battery.
This engine starting device comprises: the secondary battery 3; a hyper capacitor (electric double layer capacitor) 6 connected in parallel with the secondary battery 3; a cell motor 1; and a starting switch 2 for connecting the hyper capacitor 6 with the cell motor 1 at starting of engine. A rush current preventing circuit 7 is provided in series between the secondary battery 3 and the hyper capacitor 6, whereby the rush current from the secondary battery 3 is restricted.
