Abstract:
To provide an engine starting method and a starter, capable of restraining an enlargement of a compressed air tank and an air compressor, by reducing consumption of compressed air by air motors.
This method is provided for starting an engine 1 by using a plurality of air motors 2 and 3, and is characterized by reducing the number of driving air motors 2 and 3 until the engine 1 starts to increase an engine speed by one's own strength in starting. That is, the number of driving air motors 2 and 3 is reduced, for example, to one from two while increasing the engine speed of the engine 1 in starting.
