Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supercharging device of an engine capable restraining a steep drop of supercharged pressure at the time of switching operating supercharges in which the two turbochargers are arranged on suction and exhaust pipes in series.SOLUTION: A supercharging device 1 of an engine includes a first supercharger 10 for driving a first compressor 12 arranged in a suction passage 50 by a first turbine 11 arranged in an exhaust passage 60 of the engine, a second supercharger 20 for driving a second compressor 22 arranged in the suction passage 50 at an upstream side rather than the first compressor 12 by a second turbine 21 arranged in the exhaust passage 60 at a downstream side rather than the first turbine 11, supercharger switching mechanisms 13, 61, 62, 63, and 64 for switching operations of the first supercharger 10 and the second supercharger 20, a phase variable mechanism 40 for changing a valve opening period of a suction valve of the engine, and an ECU for controlling the supercharger switching mechanisms and the phase variable mechanism 40.
