Abstract:
To accurately control a compression ratio in an engine system having a variable compression device.SOLUTION: An engine system is provided, including a variable compression device having a fluid chamber in which a piston rod connected to a piston is moved in a direction increasing a compression ratio with a pressurized working fluid supplied therein. The engine system comprises: a boosting mechanism that pressurizes the working fluid and supplies it to the fluid chamber; detection means that is provided in a cylinder liner and outputs a signal including position information of the piston rod; control means that controls the boosting mechanism in such a manner that the boosting mechanism maintains a compression ratio preset based on the position information; a discharge valve provided in a flow passage that provides communication between the fluid chamber and the outside; and a temperature sensor measuring the temperature of the working fluid in the fluid chamber. The control means controls the boosting mechanism and the discharge valve to supply and discharge the working fluid when the working fluid temperature is a threshold or more.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
