PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To purify effectively various kinds of exhausted substances from an engine by providing a reactive purification device for bringing an exhaust gas of the engine which burns a fuel and an air by mixing into contact with a microorganism capable of eating components in the exhaust gas.
SOLUTION: For an exhaust gas generated by combustion with an engine mounted on a vehicle, specific components (for example, CO, CO2, HC, NOx, or the like) in the exhaust gas are purified with a catalytic device interposed in an exhaust gas manifold. Then, in order to purify further the exhaust gas through the catalytic device, a reactive purification device 100 of the exhaust gas which utilizes a microorganism capable of eating specific components in the exhaust gas, for example, bacteria HD-1 is fitted on its downstream side. The reactive purification device 100 is equipped with a reactor 110 for bringing the microorganism in a culture solution into contact with the exhaust gas, a pipe line 120 for supplying the culture solution to the reactor 110, a pump 130 for circulating the culture solution while a pressure is controlled, and a reservoir tank 140 for separating the microorganism.
