In the operating method of the engine (the internal combustion engine) system using fuel whose property such as calorie and fuel composition changes, one instrumentation engine is installed to one or more engines (main engines), the instrumentation engine and the main engines are simultaneously operated to take the operation data from the instrumentation engine, and the operating condition of the main engines is controlled on the basis of the operation data.
