Abstract:
To suppress an influence on combustion by water injection when engine load is comparatively high, in an engine system in which water is injected into a combustion chamber in an expansion stroke of an engine.SOLUTION: An engine system 100 includes: an engine 1 generating power of a vehicle by burning a mixture of fuel and intake air; a water injection device 4 for injecting heated water into a combustion chamber 11 of the engine 1; and a controller 10 constituted to control the water injection device 4 to inject the water into the combustion chamber 11 in an expansion stroke of the engine 1. The controller 10 is configured to acquire requested engine load of the engine 1 and to control the water injection device 4 so that a water injection start timing is retarded in comparison with a case when the requested engine load is in a second load region R2 lower than a first load region R1, when the requested engine load is in the first load region R1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
