To suppress the knocking of an engine.SOLUTION: An engine system 1 is equipped with a combustion chamber 34 formed in a cylinder 30, and an air supply portion 14 that supplies air to a peripheral area around an inner peripheral surface 36 of a cylinder 30 of the combustion chamber 34. The air supply portion 14 supplies air to a peripheral area before ignition, thereby collecting a rich mixture existing in the combustion chamber 34 in a center area of the combustion chamber 34, and forming a stratified structure composed of a mixture layer of the center area and an air layer of the peripheral area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
