Abstract:
To adjust a wall temperature of a combustion chamber with high responsiveness in accordance with a load of an engine.SOLUTION: An engine system 1 includes an engine 10, a circulation device 91 for circulating cooling water to a water jacket 20, and a controller (ECU 100). The circulation device includes a radiator flow passage 53 including a heat exchanger (radiator 27), a bypass flow passage 51, a flow control device (cooling water control valve 4), and a thermostat valve 28. The engine switches between first combustion in which an air-fuel mixture is burned without forcible ignition of an ignition device and second combustion in which the air-fuel mixture is burned by forcible ignition of the ignition device. The controller controls the flow control device so that a flow rate of the cooling water flowing in the water jacket is adjusted in accordance with a load by closing the radiator flow passage and adjusting a flow rate of the cooling water flowing through the bypass flow passage when the engine carries out the first combustion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
