Abstract:
To properly combust air-fuel mixture in an auxiliary chamber and a main chamber in an engine system having the main combustion chamber and the auxiliary chamber.SOLUTION: A system comprises a main combustion chamber, an auxiliary chamber, a fuel injection device for injecting fuel to the main combustion chamber, a main ignition device for igniting air-fuel mixture in the main combustion chamber, and an auxiliary ignition device for igniting air-fuel mixture. In a supercharging area and a non-supercharging area, after the main ignition device is caused to execute ignition, the auxiliary ignition device is caused to execute ignition. The main ignition device and the auxiliary ignition device are controlled so that an ignition phase difference that is a retard angle amount of the auxiliary ignition timing to the main ignition timing becomes smaller in the supercharging area than in the non-supercharging area.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
