Abstract:

To enhance flexibility of combustion control of an internal combustion engine in an engine system for reforming fuel to be burnt in the cylinder of the internal combustion engine.

A fuel reformer 16 forms a hydrogen gas by partially reforming a supplied ammonia gas. A gas compressor 74 separates the ammonia gas from the hydrogen gas by pressurizing the ammonia gas and the hydrogen gas supplied from the fuel reformer 16 by liquefying the ammonia gas. An ammonia injector 22 injects the ammonia separated from hydrogen gas by the gas compressor 74 into an intake pipe 20. A hydrogen injector 72 injects the hydrogen gas separated from the ammonia by the gas compressor 74 into the intake pipe 20.
