An intake air passage 18 for the engine and an intake air passage 19 for the compressor are connected to an air cleaner 7, an exhaust port for the engine 11 is connected to a muffler 22, and an exhaust port 13 for the compressor is connected to an air tank 3 via a lead valve 23. A cylinder and/or a piston is commonized as for the compressor, an intake stroke and an exhaust stroke for the compressor are inserted between an exhaust stroke and an intake stroke for the engine. Only air is sucked in the cylinder during the intake stroke for the compressor, air in a closed space from the cylinder to the exhaust port is compressed and is filled in an air tank 3 via the lead valve 23 during the exhaust stroke for the compressor. Consequently, reduction of cost due to reduction of the number of parts, reduction of weight and size can be done.
