PURPOSE: To miniaturize a governor weight and an engine by using a balancer shaft as an interlocking shaft attaching a governor sleeve on it, attaching the governor weight on the back surface of an input gear and arranging the governor sleeve on the rear side of the governor weight.
CONSTITUTION: By a bearing boss 3 projectively provided on a front side wall 2 of a crankcase 1 is axially supported. Additionally, a crank gear 6 attached to the crankshaft 4 on the front side of the bearing boss 3 and an input gear 8 attached to an interlocking shaft 7 installed in the crankcase 1 in parallel with the crankshaft 4 are arranged on the same plane. Additionally, a governor weight 9 is attached to the input gear 8, and a governor sleeve 10 is attached to the interlocking shaft 7. For such an engine with a mechanical governor, as the interlocking shaft 7, a balancer shaft 11 is used. On the rear surface of the input gear 8, the governor weight 9 is attached, and on the rear side of the governor weight 9, the governor sleeve 10 is arranged.
