PURPOSE: To reduce the manufacturing cost of a mechanical governor by using a pair of stopper pins as stopping means of a governor lever shaft, and forming a contact part with a stopper by one end part of a contact pin driven through in the radial direction of the governor lever shaft.
CONSTITUTION: A governor lever shaft 4 is inserted through a shaft through hole 3 bored in the case wall 2 of the crank case 1 of an engine, and a governor lever 5 is mounted on the outer end part of the shaft 4. An oscillating arm 6 is suspended in the inner end part of the governor shaft 4, and the tip part of a governor sleeve 8 fitted onto a governor shaft 7 in such a manner as to be capable of sliding is brought into contact with the oscillating end part of the oscillating arm 6. A pair of through holes 15 are formed on the governor lever shaft 4 in positions laid along both end opening parts of the shaft through hole 3, stopper pins 11 are fitted thereto, respectively, and the oscillation limit attitude 13 on fuel decreasing side of the oscillating arm 6 accompanying the propulsion of the governor sleeve 8 is regulated by the cooperation of a stopper 12 provided on the inside of the case wall 2 with the stopper pins 11.
