Abstract:
To provide an engine which improves reliability by effectively cooling a member such as a crankshaft or a bearing, and an engine work machine.SOLUTION: An engine comprises: a load which is operated by power; multiple batteries capable of supplying power to the load; a control section which switches a connection and a disconnection between each of the multiple batteries and the load; and a main body part which includes the load and the control section and in which the multiple batteries are mounted in a freely removable manner. The control section selects one of the multiple available batteries as a connection battery and performs a connecting operation for providing a connection state that the load is connected to the connection battery and disconnected from the remaining multiple batteries. When the connection battery meets a predetermined use stop condition in the connection state, the connection battery is used as a use inhibited battery that cannot be used until a predetermined reuse condition is satisfied, and the connecting operation is repeated.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
