To provide an engine working machine suitably avoiding a problem that a filter of an air cleaner is easily clogged by keeping possibility for wood chip or the like to be mixed in intake air as low as possible with a simple structure, keeping a whole body compact and well balanced, and facilitating cleaning work and replacement work of the filter.
This engine working machine includes a volute part 17 for straightening air flow formed by rotation of a cooling fan. The volute part 17 comprises a round part 17a and a straight part 17b. An air intake port 18 for branching intake air of an engine from the straightened cooling air is formed in a region Z2 in the straight part 17b and in a lateral direction inside of a center line C opens toward a downstream side of the cooling air flowing down in the region Z2.
