Abstract:

To provide an engine determining an optimum fuel injection pattern corresponding to the magnitude of co-rotating torque.

This engine 100 connected to a working machine includes: a multistage fuel injection device 20 injecting fuel accumulated in a common rail 21 to each of cylinders 11, 12, 13, 14 by an injector 22; a cooling water temperature sensor 70 detecting engine state temperature; an engine speed sensor 60 detecting engine speed; and an ECU 50 controlling the fuel injection pattern of the multistage fuel injection device 20. In the engine 100, the ECU 50 determines the fuel injection pattern of the multistage fuel injection device 20 based on the engine speed Ne, cooling water temperature Tw and a workload Ah on the working machine, in starting control.
