Abstract:

To provide an engine 1 capable of improving startability and stabilizing an operation state regardless of an operation environment and a use mode.

In the engine 1 including a fuel injection control part 16 which is control means for calculating a reference maximum injection quantity Qx on the basis of a target rotation frequency Nt of the engine 1 and a cooling water temperature Tm of the engine 1, the fuel injection control part 16 sets the smallest value among the reference maximum injection quantity Qs, an atmospheric pressure limited injection quantity Qp calculated on the basis of the target rotation frequency Nt and an atmospheric pressure P, and a black smoke limited injection quantity Qλ calculated on the basis of an excess air factor λ as a final maximum injection quantity Qm, and defines a value for which the reference maximum injection quantity Qs is increased by a prescribed quantity Qv as the final maximum injection quantity Qm when elapsed time t after the start of the engine 1 is completed is shorter than prescribed time tv or when a cooling water temperature Tm is below a prescribed temperature Tmv.
