PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve an Atkinson cycle mechanism light in the weight with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: An engine includes: a piston 12; a piston pin 13; a crankshaft 14 having a crank pin 20; a connecting rod 15 having a small end portion 22 attached to the piston pin 13, and a large end portion 23 attached to the crank pin 20; a first member 16 attached concentrically to the small end portion 22 and eccentrically to the piston pin 13; a second member 17 attached to the large end portion 23 which is concentric with the crank pin 13; and an endless member 18 connecting the first member 16 and the second member 17.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
