Abstract:
To provide an engine including a direct-injection injector for allowing an intake system device to be easily arranged around the engine.SOLUTION: An engine E includes: a cylinder 44 where a combustion chamber 45 is formed; an intake side valve train 68 for driving an intake valve 64 to open/close an intake port 60 of the combustion chamber 45,; an exhaust side valve train 70 for driving an exhaust valve 66 to open/close an exhaust port 62 of the combustion chamber 45; a direct-injection injector 80 for injecting fuel into the combustion chamber 45 with an injection port 80a opened into the combustion chamber 45; and a high pressure pump 78 to be driven by power given from the exhaust side valve train 70 to increase the injection pressure of the direct-injection injector 80.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
