Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate necessity for frequently changing a posture of an exhaust muffler welding work so as to facilitate the welding work for a receiving plate by making welding for the plate to one end wall of a casting constituting an attaching part enough to be carried out.
SOLUTION: In this engine, a pushing-out part 47a and the attaching part 47b are provided in the one end wall 47 of the casing 27, the part 47a is formed by pressing out one portion of the one end wall 47 of the casing 27 toward an outward direction of the casing 27, leaving the attaching part 47b, the part 47b is formed of the one portion of the wall 47 left in a circumferential edge of the part 47a, an acoustic material 44 is filled in a recess 47c of the part 47a, the receiving plate 31 is formed of a flat perforated plate, one portion of the plate 31 is brought into contact with an inner face of the part 47b, and the plate 31 is spot-welded to the attaching part 47b to be fixed.
