To provide an engraving cutter not having possibility of damaging a physical body such as a hand, a finger or the like even in the case of a careless use and an engraving cutter cover.

The engraving cutter cover 16 comprises a substantially rectangular shape body 17 having an opening 26 formed so that an edge 33 of the engraving cutter 31 is inserted and fixed, a pair of root and trunk parts 19a and 19b connected to extend from both sides of the opening 26 of the body 17, and a loop 18 of a U shape as plainly seen and disposed to surround a distal end of the edge 33 of the cutter 31 connected to the pair of root and trunk parts 19a and 19b. A plane formed at the end 20 for constituting the loop 18 is inclined obliquely upward to a plane formed of the root and trunk parts 19a and 19b. Thus, safety of the cutter 31 in the case of carelessly protruding the edge 33 is enhanced without disturbing use of the edge 33 of the cutter 31.
