Title:
ENGRAVING HEAD OF GRAVURE ENGRAVING DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000263739
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an engraving head which is almost free from a variation in the cell width and capable of visualizing the contour part of an image and the edge part of a character sharply.

This engraving head is equipped with a shaft 2 whose one end is fixed to a base 1 in a torsionally vibrating fashion. In addition, a stylus with an engraving needle 3 such as a diamond bit or the like is firmly mounted on the free end side of the shaft 2. Further, a stator 6 which donates a magnetic field to a rotor 5 is arranged around the rotor 5 and the stator 6 is coupled with a permanent magnet 8 through a magnet retaining member 7. A coil 9 is wound around each of the paired arm parts of the stator 6 as illustrated. These two coils 9 have windings wound reversely to each other, and the stylus 4 can be rotated by applying the same engraving signal to each of the coils 9. Thus, it is possible to inhibit a variation in the cell width as the coil 9 is wound around the fixed stator 6.
