Title:
ENGRAVING MATERIAL COMPOSITION AND ENGRAVING MATERIAL FORMED BY USE THEREOF
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2553978
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To attain excellent cutting performance, surface smoothness and water repellency while being lightweight by adding a specific amount of lightweight aggregate and additive to cement.
CONSTITUTION: An engraving material composition contains 100 weight parts of cement, 17-50 weight parts of lightweight aggregate, and 100-50 weight parts of additive. The lightweight aggregate used in this case is one or two kinds or more of mixture of fine powder of an inorganic foam body, shells, natural stones and lightweight cement product chips. The engraving material is formed by hardening kneaded material with 30-10 weight parts of fine sand and 200-30 weight parts of water added at need. The bulk specific gravity of the lightweight aggregate is thereby light while being fine in its texture, so that the engraving material can be made lightweight and also has flexibility because of the water holding property of calcium carbonate to enable easy cutting. The generation of scattering, collapse, chipping of cut powder is also prevented by the additive. In addition, quality degradation in the outdoors can be prevented by water repellency.
