Abstract:

To largely reduce friction resistance during engraving, and prevent an engraving needle from being broken during manufacturing of a seal, while drastically enhancing durability of an engraving needle for a seal.

A cutting blade part 13 set at a tip side of a main body part contacts and engraves a seal material. At least a base material 10 of the cutting blade part 13 consists of alloy tool steel or sintered hard alloy. On a surface of the cutting blade 13 a diamond-like carbon coat is formed through an intermediate layer 20 which enhances adhesion with the base material.
