Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide enhanced performance by using a suitable zeolite adsorbent in PSA air and other gas separation operations.
CONSTITUTION: The pressure swing air and other gas separation operations are executed by using a specified suitable zeolite adsorbent composition based on the symmetry of framework atoms and cations therein. Specific SiO2/Al2O3 and cation/cation ratios for enhanced performance are identified. An LiX adsorbent having a silica to alumina ratio on the order of 2.364 provides enhanced PSA performance.
