Abstract:

To unlock a vehicle without causing actuation of a theft alarm device of the vehicle even if the main battery to feed electricity to different parts of the vehicle is discharged.

An entry system for a vehicle using electronic key is equipped with an aux. battery 42 which works together with a main battery 41 and feeds electricity to an on-vehicle lock/unlock control means, and each of these batteries is furnished with changeover means 61, 62, 63 to change over between connection with and disconnection from the lock/unlock control means, and the changeover means 61 and 62 for the aux. battery 42 are operated manually when the main battery 41 is discharged from outside the vehicle by the switch 63. When an opening/closing detecting means 201 detects connection of the aux. battery 42, the means 201 controls the changeover means 61 to disconnect the main battery 41, and thus battery changeover takes place while the current feed condition is held.
