To provide an environment measuring membrane device for evaluating the quality of environments by using a membrane material and measuring the degree of reaction between a membrane and the environments by the reflectance or transmissivity of the membrane material and to measure and evaluate the quality of the environments from the side of materials.
In the environment evaluating device, a light emitting element, a receiving element, a circuit for computing reflectance and transmissivity, and a time measuring circuit are incorporated in the membrane device formed on a substrate with an optical plane and made of metal, an alloy, etc. Therefore, it is possible to perform environment measurement which is simple, inexpensive, superior in convenience, and directly connected to the degradation of materials.
