Abstract:
To provide: an epoxyalkane production method which can attain a high olefin conversion and a high selectivity to an epoxide even when an olefin including a long carbon chain is used and by which the epoxide can be obtained in high yield; and a solid oxidation catalyst.SOLUTION: The epoxyalkane production method of the present invention comprises reacting an olefin with an oxidant in the presence of a solid oxidation catalyst. The solid oxidation catalyst comprises a transition metal and a support to which the transition metal has been fixed. The support is a composite of a metal oxide with a phosphonic acid.SELECTED DRAWING: None
