Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a means for improving long instability and a low convergence ratio in an equalizer for equalizing the fraction interval of a real number or a complex number signal. SOLUTION: In order to adaptively equalize the fraction interval of distortion in a receiving signal inputted through a transmission filter and a channel, whitening processing for the signal is previously executed by a whitening filter, and the received signal is processed so that power spectral density to be repeated by a repeating period equal to the inverse of a signal interval is fixed. Since the whitening filter is arranged on the upstream side of an adaptive filter FSE for equalizing the fraction interval and the signal is processed, the power spectral density repeated by a repetition period equal to the inverse of the signal interval is fixed, so that expected improvement is obtained.
