Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an equipment for measuring circular dichroism fluorescent excitation spectrum with an enhanced detection sensitivity.
SOLUTION: The equipment 210 for measuring circular dichroism fluorescent excitation spectrum for measuring the intensity of a fluorescent light L214 obtained by irradiating a sample alternately with monochromatized left and right circularly polarized lights L210 for wavelength scanning at a specified modulation frequency S210 to produce an electric signal s212 comprises means 232 for separating an AC signal component s216 synchronized with the modulation frequency S210 from the electric signal S212, and means 242, 244a for finding the difference of fluorescent intensity when excited with left and right circularly polarized lights L210 from the AC signal component s216 synchronized with the modulation frequency S210 obtained from the AC signal component separating means 232 and attaining a circular dichroism fluorescent excitation spectrum by recording the difference of fluorescent intensity with respect to the wavelength.
