To provide an equipment and a method for measuring the compression strength of a concrete member in which compression strength can be measured conveniently with high accuracy without breaking a structure significantly.
Fixing frame 7 of the compression strength measuring equipment 1 is a frame on a square where one side frame is removed to provide an opening 7a. A hammer drill 2 is secured in the fixing frame 7 to direct the cutter toward the opening 7a. The hammer drill 2 is pressed by a hydraulic jack 5 disposed in the rear in order to perform boring at a constant rate. The hydraulic jack 5 has rear end part secured to the side frame 7b of the fixing frame 7 and forward end part secured with a load cell 4. A channel 4a or a shaft 4b for securing the hammer drill 2 is provided with a displacement gauge 3 to touch the surface of a concrete structure 6 while directing the sensor toward the opening 7a of the fixing frame 7.
