Abstract:
A laser cutting process on a metal workpiece leaves a layer of oxide that is subsequently removed by an emery cloth belt presented at a transverse angle to or in line with the advancing work piece. The emery cloth is applied as a sandwich block with parallel emery cloth panels separated by pads.
